Asbestos and Mesothelioma

You may have heard about the dangers of asbestos, but did you know that asbestos exposure can cause many chronic medical conditions, including cancer? Mesothelioma is a fatal cancer caused by asbestos exposure, a known carcinogen.
Mesothelioma affects those who’ve worked with or around asbestos, including:

Construction Workers and those in Construction Trades

Carpenters, electricians, roofers, insulators, plumbers, drywall installers, painters, pipefitter and more.

Industrial Workers

Including those working in plants, refineries, factories and steel mills including mechanics, foremen, chemical workers, machine operators, insulators and more.

Military Service Members and Veterans

Military service members and veterans' exposure risk varies by the branch of military they served in; however, all branches, including the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Army have been at risk.

Shipyard and Maritime Workers

Especially marine mechanics who help build, maintain and repair ships, both in the Navy and on civilian and commercial ships.

Auto Workers and Mechanics

Auto mechanics were exposed to asbestos fibers through brake and clutch work both in the building and repair of vehicles.

Family Members

Those exposed through secondary exposure.

If you or someone you love may have been exposed to asbestos and have developed mesothelioma, you may be entitled to compensation. Call Madeksho Law for a review of your case, and to see if you qualify.

Asbestos and Lung Cancer

Asbestos exposure can also increase your risk for lung cancer. While mesothelioma is a cancer of the lining of the lungs, lung cancer is cancer of the lung tissue itself. The diseases are similar in that they take decades to develop but then spread quickly. However, asbestos exposure causes six times more lung cancer cases than mesothelioma. Lung cancer is the deadliest of all asbestos-related diseases.

Nearly 3,000 people die from asbestos-related lung cancer yearly, twice the number killed by mesothelioma.

If you or a family member have asbestos-related lung cancer, the experienced team at the Madeksho Law can help you recover the compensation you deserve, even if your family member has since died. Call Madeksho Law to see if you qualify.

Talcum Powder and Cancer

We tend to associate talcum powder with babies – fresh, clean, and sweet-smelling. For years people have used talcum powder to absorb moisture for babies and adults, applying baby powder and body powder after showers, baths, fresh diapers, or exercising. But recently, we've learned the use of any talc based powder, including baby powder, body powder used by men in athletics and by women to stay fresh and for fragrance, and talc based cosmetics can cause mesothelioma and other cancers.

If you believe that talcum powder harmed you or a loved one, give the Madeksho Law Firm a call at 1-888-910-6376 or contact us through our online form. We never charge a fee unless we obtain compensation on your behalf.

Toxic Exposures and Cancer

While we’re often exposed to harmful chemicals in the air, water, and the products we use daily, the amount of exposure won’t harm us in many cases. But higher levels or prolonged exposure to toxic chemicals can lead to health problems, injuries, and cancer.

Exposure to toxic chemicals is linked to many chronic health conditions, including:

  • Aplastic anemia
  • Asbestosis
  • Asthma
  • Cancer
  • Bronchiolitis
  • Leukemia
  • Hodgkin’s disease
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Mesothelioma
  • Silicosis
  • Reactive Airways Dysfunction Syndrome (RADS)

Dangerous Drugs and Products

When we buy a product or a medication in the U.S., we expect it will be safe, considering the regulations we have to protect American consumers. But companies often cut corners or try to cover up dangers that they later discover. At Madeksho Law, we help protect consumers from companies that fail in their responsibilities to consumers, ensuring that you receive compensation for your damages. If you or someone you love were harmed by exposure to the chemical paraquat, products containing talc, or the drug Zantac.

If your health has been affected by a dangerous drug or product, Madeksho Law can help. Our firm helps victims harmed by dangerous drugs and toxic exposure, and fights to get them the compensation they deserve.
